America Chavez is a superhero actualization in American comic books published by Curiosity Comics. Created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta, Chavez was the second Marvel grapheme to utilize the moniker Miss America, afterwards Madeline Joyce. Chavez beginning appeared in Vengeance #1 (Sept. 2011) before joining the Immature Avengers and afterwards starring in her ain ongoing serial, America, in March 2017 by author Gabby Rivera. America Chavez first appeared in the 2011 limited serial Vengeance by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta. Fictional character biography [ edit ]

America Chavez believed she was raised by her mothers in the Utopian Parallel, a reality that is out of time and in the presence of the being known every bit the Demiurge, whose presence she credited with imbuing her with superpowers. [23] On Globe-616, Chavez stopped Loki from magically attacking Wiccan in his home. Hulkling intervened, merely America and Loki rapidly fled with picayune caption. [24] Chavez subsequently rescued Hulkling, Wiccan, and Loki from the Female parent, an inter-dimensional parasite awoken by one of Loki's spells. During the 2015 Clandestine Wars storyline, Chavez appears as a member of the A-Force, an all-female person team of Avengers. Her fans formed a gang called La Chiquitas and changed their hair to Chavez symbols, including fan Sydney Walker. [29] When the island nation of Arcadia is attacked by a megalodon, Chavez throws the shark beyond the Shield, the wall that separates Arcadia'southward borders, thus breaking the laws of Rex Doom. She is subsequently arrested and sentenced to spend the balance of her life protecting the Shield. [30] [31]

After the events of Clandestine Wars, Chavez joined the newly formed Ultimates team after being invited past Blue Curiosity. [fifteen] Chavez also attends Sotomayor University as a student, [ii] where she besides shares a form with quondam Young Avenger teammate Prodigy. [32]

In the series America Chavez: Made in the USA, what Chavez knew about her groundwork was chosen into question. Her previously unknown sister, Catalina, forced her to call back that her mothers were non aliens, only homo doctors Amalia and Elena Chavez. The doctors took their daughters to a private island called the Utopian Parallel to attempt to cure the disease Edges Syndrome, simply discovered their distributor had evil plans for all the girls brought there. The doctors sacrificed themselves to free America and Catalina, but only America escaped. Catalina suggests that America fabricated up the alien universe story as a coping mechanism. [33]

Chavez possesses superhuman strength and durability, and the power of flying. Chavez also has the power to kick open star-shaped holes in reality, allowing her and her teammates to travel through the multiverse and into other realities.
